I will not gabble so much, but I think it is important to point out something before going deeper. You may have heard about Creative Commons license. I am going to clarify in case you in case you are not sure about what they are.
Creative Commons is an association that aims to promote culture through a legal framework that empowers creatives to share their works. There are 6 types of licenses more or less restrictive (some allow to carry out derivative works and others don´t, and the same happens with the commercial use).
As I already said, I am not going to gabble anymore because the license that interests us most is the so called Creative Commons or CC0. Works under this license can be copied, modified and distributed without any problem for any purpose (including commercial) so they are of public use and the one we would mostly recommend. -

One of my favorite due to the quality of the works you can find here. Of course they are high resolution photographs, so you had better reduce their weight enough before using them online because they weigh a lot.
You can navigate on Unsplash using its browser, which is quite efficient, or take a look at the thematic collections in case you need more than an image related to a theme.
Download the photos you need, edit and share them for free. They are freely attributable, so they do not require you to quote the author or the source, but it is always consider as a courtesy. -
