It is continuously talked of concepts such as voice search and there is even an emerging voice commerce, but the truth is that there is a type of audio content that drives crazy a large part of the audience and to which not all brands pay due attention. It is something very similar to a conventional radio program, but with the particularity of being made in a personal (or corporate) way to be distributed only through the Internet. Its etymology comes from "Pod" (by the veteran Apple player called iPod) and "cast" or "casting", which refers to "broadcasting".

What is podcasting used for?
-
We are talking about a type of content that is in high demand, so we manage to add value in a format and channel that the user requires. There are as many types of podcasts as areas of interest, so if you can stand out in a niche, you will be gaining authority and your brand will benefit from that.In a way, it is similar and complementary to what a blog represents in that sense, but with the advantage of context. In other words, the user can consume a podcast without a screen, thereby expanding the potential scope even at times when our audience is mobile or simply tired of reading.

How are podcasts broadcasted?
-
As we have already pointed out, it is specific content for the Internet that, although it can be hosted on its own server, it is usually hosted and distributed through different platforms such as Ivoox, Spotify, Apple Podcast or Google Podcast (which has included the results in the SERP). These even allow us to embed the player on a website so they are easy to distribute on social networks.
